Point Mutation Mice refer to genetically modified models in which single nucleotide variations (SNVs), small insertions/deletions (InDel), or missense/nonsense mutations are introduced into specific genomic sites of mice using gene-editing technology, thereby precisely simulating human genetic disease-causing loci or specific protein function alterations.

VeloGene Biotechnology’s TurboMice™ tetraploid complementation technology completes in situ point mutation editing at the embryonic stem cell (ESC) level, followed by aggregation with tetraploid embryos (which form only extraembryonic tissues such as the placenta) to compensate development. Therefore, all F0 generation mice originate from the same edited ESC monoclonal line, allowing the delivery of homozygous and stably heritable point mutation mice within 3 to 5 months without the need for multi-generation breeding and screening.
